Well, welcome everyone to our new family blog! It's wierd, I know, me messing with a blog. But hey...everyone's doin it, right?! :)
So here's the family update...

LaMont & I were married in January of 2002. Almost 8 years...wow...time flies! We have 3 kids, Austin (7), Matthew (6 in October), and Carter (turned 2 in March). Yes, it's a LOT of boys under one roof (one might say TOO MANY boys under one roof, especially on a Saturday!), but I love them and couldn't imagine my crazy life without them.
LaMont started the police academy in January and has been going FULL time (with the exception of a month off between the SFO and LEO blocks) since then. He works in Cedar City and then rushes home, jumps through the shower, and heads to Hurricane for school (from 6-10 every night). It's a challenge and the kids are starting to wonder if they signed up for the single parent family dynamic but the GREATEST news of all is that he'll be done September 18th! Right around the corner! We may just make it to the end with everyone still alive! He really loves it! He's great at it and I am so proud of him!
As for me, I'm just hanging out at home. Before LaMont started school I was going to school full time trying to get my nursing
pre-reqs out if the way. When he started in January it was too hard for us both to be going at the same time so I put my school on hold (ahhhhh the sacrifices we make for love :) hahaha). So for now I am hanging out at home. I'm watch a few daycare kids to keep me busy and I've been doing a lot of "projects". Making quilts, knitting, baking, cross stitch, gardening...oh wait...that's not me! That's the lady on Nick at Night! I'm just having fun hanging out with the kids! :)

Austin turned 7 in July. He's going to start 1st grade next week, which he is very excited about. He's very smart and LOVES to read or watch anything on TV. I swear it's not normal behavior for a little boy to be engrossed in a documentary on National Geographic about Egyptian Mummies but that's where I found him the other day.....strange.....not bad, a very intellectual activity for a 7 year old boy, which is GREAT.....but still a little strange. :)
Matthew will turn 6 in October and will start Kindergarten next week. He's just as equally excited about starting school as the rest of us are for him to start school! He's our "boy" for sure in all sense of the word. He's active and roudy and loves to be right smack in the middle of all the action. We love him, but man, that kid needs a creative outlet...karate, soccer, basketball, yoga... something! :)

Carter is the "baby" of the family. He turned 2 in March but he talks like a 4 year old jabber jaw. He is too smart for his own good, and I thought for sure that he was my favorite until...the terrible 2's. Who makes it through the terrible 2's anyway?? I would like to meet the person that can give me the handbook. I've resorted to, "...well okay then, if you're going to THROW yourself on the floor just make sure you do it on the carpet because it could REALLY do some damage if you hurl yourself head first onto the tile...". Ahh motherhood, isn't it wonderful?! :)
Well, that's our "catch up" in a nutshell. Just run of the mill, normal people (or so you think...'till we snatch you and drag you in to our totally top secret/tell someone and I'll have to kill you/boys only(excepet for mom) club)!
